About me and my practice

I am a qualified addictions counsellor and complementary health practitioner and tutor. I studied counselling and addiction at the University of Bath and the Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies and have wide ranging life and work experience. Most of us can have times in life when it seems as though we cant cope and we may feel worried, fearful or confused. At these times it can be helpful to give ourselves the gift of speaking to someone who is not a family member or friend, someone we can be honest with, without fear of judgement or opinion. I work with all individuals in a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental way. Additionally, I have been working as a holistic practitioner and tutor for nearly 30 years. I work with everyone, regardless of whether they are dealing with addiction or not. Addiction is often referred to as a symptom or disease. A dis - ease with life - something many people can relate to. Our sessions will involve exploring this dis - ease and how to move forward, utilising and building on resources and healthy coping strategies. I offer a free 15 mins chat/Zoom call to see whether you feel I am the right practitioner for you.

Experience

Four years experience working in a highly respected residential rehab and many years as a privately employed therapist.
