About me and my practice

After battling my own inner demons with help from an addiction therapist, and after 3 years of working with someone in a community self-help fellowship I decided it was time to change my career as well. Off I went to University for 4 years and gained a BA(Hons) degree. Since then I have worked within the field of substance misuse. Now I'm in my eighth year of working with this multifaceted behaviour, helping many to gain a handle on this and to manage the behaviour in a healthier way. Families are an important part of anyone's recovery and are usually the ones that require help themselves. If I work with someone I usually request that the family is involved to a certain degree. This gives you all the best chance of managing a healthy life.
