Directory Practitioner Directory Advanced Practitioner Pauline Searle Pauline Searle About me and my practice I now work in private practice as a counsellor, addiction counsellor and Brain Working Recursive Therapist. I also am a Hypno-Analyst and a qualified EMDR Practitioner. Experience I worked in the NHS during 1970-1979 which is where I started my quest to find alternative ways of helping with Addiction. I qualified as a Hypnoanalyst in 1989. I then studied and achieved a one year’s certificate in Psychodynamic counselling at the Pastoral Foundation in 1997. I then went on to qualify as a Level 3 Reality Therapist. I achieved a Post grad cert. in Addiction counselling, Accrd by Kings College training in 1998/99. I worked in many different settings as an Addiction counsellor in private psychiatric hospitals, Rehab. Centres and a prison during the years I worked full time in addiction, until I retired from the Priory Hospital Roehampton in 2010. I have worked since then in my own private practise. I have worked on the family programme in the Priory Woking and Roehampton. Throughout my years I have studied and trained with Terence Watts through his training school and associations. Whilst working in the Priory Hospital Roehampton (20 years ago) I was interested in finding out what caused addiction and became fascinated with the latest findings in Neuro-Science. 8 years ago Terence Watts started teaching Brain Working Recursive Therapy, which is based on the latest findings in neuro-science and I knew that this was what I was looking for, as a very effective, fast way of way of working with addiction, anxiety, PTSD, phobias and all stress related illnesses. I was privileged to be one of the first to train in this new modality of working and have qualified as a Level 1, 2 & 3 Practitioner. I am now a Mentor and Supervisor and help with the training in this new Therapy. I continue to work in my private practise with addicts as a counsellor or BWRT Therapist.
