About me and my practice

Hi, I am Rebecca and I make it my purpose to reduce the stigma associated with addiction and improve mental health.

I aim to promote healthier ways of thinking and coping to alleviate substance use, behavioural addiction and negative patterns of thinking. I pride myself on being empathic, authentic, and pragmatic, understanding that a collaborative approach to recognising achievement is crucial. I have flexible working hours which includes private practice in both North Oxford and Fitzrovia, London. I also offer online and telephone sessions for those not wishing to travel.

My integrated approach includes:

  • Person-Centred Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing Techniques
  • 12 Step facilitation
  • Relapse Prevention
  • Couples and family mediation.

All my work is trauma-informed, meaning I follow the guiding principles of Safety, Choice, Collaboration, Trustworthiness and Empowerment. Each session is, on average, 50 - 60 minutes. I offer a complimentary 20-minute orientation session to allow you time to explain why you are seeking support. The session ensures that I can meet your needs and that you feel comfortable with the process.

Experience

I have over 20 years of experience, providing bespoke support for individuals, couples, groups and family members seeking help to understand the concerns surrounding addiction and/or dependency. I am BACP registered (MBACP) and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Addiction Psychology. In addition to my private practice I manage and Drug and Alcohol service in Oxfordshire.
